POSITION OVERVIEW

Black Diamond is seeking a District Sales Manager (DSM) for our East Bay Team. The District Sales Manager is responsible for driving budget and sales goals while managing their sales team (Project Design Specialists). Successful experience with In-Home Sales and/or Landscape Design is a must, ideally in the Paver/Landscape home improvement industry. The ideal candidate is driven, proactive, confident, and self-motivated. This position includes individual sales while recruiting & managing (planning, controlling, directing) a sales team for at least the 1st year.

After three (3) months of successful personal sales and training, the successful candidate has an opportunity to earn overrides on their area team and future growth advancement to Regional Sales Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of Lead management, Sales process and Team Installation success.
  • Recruit, train, develop and drive performance of Project Design Specialists.
  • Manage, coach, delegate and lead team members to accomplish regional sales and customer service goals.
  • Run effective, motivating, educational weekly sales meetings for the team.
  • Establish effective working relationships with employees and independent contractors.
  • Prepare and distribute sales reports and performance metrics to members of management and sales team.
  • Establish and maintain accountability for overall sales performance of PDs
  • Instill and drive self generated sales from self performance and PDs
  • Strategically respond to goal attainment with practical solutions.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Leadership skills to drive and motivate sales team to achieve sales goals.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and make tough decisions.
  • Experienced in self generated sales.
  • Planning and organizational skills to successfully manage the team.
  • Initiative and enthusiasm. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Keep and maintain budgets.
  • Analytical skills for problem-solving, contract development and staffing.
  • Excellent people skills for interactions with clients, designers, crews and coordinators.
  • 5 years of in-home sales & management experience in home improvement or similar industry.
  • Solid presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.

COMPENSATION

This position includes base salary, commissions and bonuses with the potential to earn $150,000+ per year.
